There are (at least) two sides to everything. Can one exist without the other???

This raku wall piece was made from a "special" clay from Vasarhely, Hungary. I don't know much about the composition of the clay but I do know that it can be fired above cone 10 and that it doesn't shrink. After firing this piece to cone 10, I painted it with stains and underglaze pencils and fired it. Finally, it was glazed and raku fired: this miracle clay took the smoke beautifully which normally is Not the case for high fired work.

"Attraction" measures 8 1/2" high by 6" wide by 3" deep (21.5 cm x 15 cm x 7.5 cm) and is ready to hang in a special place.
